Goals, dreams and wants

Women,

Have we written down the dreams, wants and goals that we hope to acheive for ourselves for the year 2009? These can be:

1. Individual goals: for our own needs e.g. to lose weight, be a better financial saver, upgrade our skills or to increase our knowledge in a specific area or to be a better person from the spiritual aspect.
2. Family goals: for our husband and children e.g. schedule family gatherings or get-aways, or teach our children to save/money matters etc, or for the single it would be to be a mentor to a niece or nephew etc.
3. Community goals: support for our dayak community e.g. plan or help out at an activity organized, contribute our skills, talents and cash if we have, hold a simple gathering at someone's house to share a skill (e.g. flower-arrangment, weaving etc).
4. Work goals: where we are employed or if some of us are self-employed, goals that meet a certain target and the list goes on.

Let's not forget that we can make a positive impact to our family and our community. We just need to have confidence and to believe in what we do!

A Happy and blessed 2009 to all Dayak women!

Dayak Women potential has not been realized. This is a source of CHANGE that can bring Dayak to the next level of socio-economic progress.

Dayak Women is an important partner to build Dayak new dream - a dream of progress and success in all field. I am expecting Dayak women to fly to the moon first, they are smarter, more resourceful, independent, loving, caring and very intelligent.

Someday, a Dayak Women should lead Dayak into politic.

As follow-up to various meetings between SDNU, Dewan Adat Dayak and Majelis Adat Dayak Nasional, and personal request by KalBar Governor, I have initiated a move to assist our Kalimantan Dayak sisters/workers in Malaysia. Both my parters and myself are males. Once we are properly established, we hope to link up with TENAGANITA and Catholic Against Humun Trafficking and others. We need females to be in the committee.
Please email to swisserikin@yahoo.com if you are interested to join us in this non-profit but moral movement. You may log in to http://lembaga_bina_masyarakat_desa.blogspot.com. You may also contact our leader there, Miss Agustina. If you cannot reach her, she could be in ulu areas, campaigning for her boss, a senator.
Cheers

Thank you brother tunkuabdulrazak and Dayak Baru for your support. Our dayak women will come out soon. We need more confidence to be braver and to influence the community we live in a positive way. They say,"The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." So we need to cultivate women who will produce responsible and caring dayak leaders - male or female.
